Most of what I have been through with my Diagnosis of Cushing’s Disease, successful transphenoidal surgery and entry into the recovery stage of the disease sounds much like many of the other letters that have been submitted.

I want to thank everyone who has told his or her story. Reading them has made a tremendous difference in how I feel about myself, the disease and how I’m going to handle my recovery. I’ve been returning to this site often since the surgery. It helps when I’m feeling down and reminds me what I need to do to continue with my recovery.

I have one small wish for everyone suffering and recovering from the ravages of hypercortisolism - try to remember that great old saying: Laughter IS the best medicine. It is what has been getting me through, for years. It works! I’d love to hear from others!
